Homewood Suites by Hilton St. Louis-Chesterfield

To start their location is amazing; close proximity to great restaurants and entertainment. Breakfast is provided and there are several options to choose from. I didn’t attend happy hour, but again many options provided for free. Yesterday, the dietary employee (maybe supervisor) was so polite during breakfast. He offered to help and promoted the free happy hour. I wish I would e caught his name to simply say “thank you”. This morning as I checked out, I met I believe her name is Donna. She was authentic and personable. We talked about nails, dress coats, and my stay. Just a breath of fresh air. Advice-tub needs a little attention; nothing major.

Stayed here for 3 nights and the only thing we enjoyed was our conversation with Mr Terri. He was so polite and friendly. He was the only person who acknowledged us throughout our stay. Even the front desk had a sour attitude. Aside from that, this hotel is way overpriced. Our room was not as nice or clean as they showed online. The location is beautiful but definitely needs new management in the housekeeping department. Hilton needs to take a look at y’all. Their standard is not being met at this property 😬.

I'm 3 weeks into a 4 month job here in St. Louis. My employer chose to put us up here, and I'm more than satisfied with their choice. The front desk employees are just great. They're fun to deal with and chat. My room is clean and nice. Large bedroom and a kitchenette and living space. I'd love an oven, but the cook top is sufficient for most needs. Full-size fridge, TV in both bedroom and living room. My only complaint is some noisy people near my suite, but I have no doubt that management will deal with them when I figure out what room they are staying in.

I am a diamond member and I am very familiar with Hilton quality. I stayed at this hotel the week of July 17 for my wife’s medical procedures. I originally was not going to write this review because I was so disappointed with the filthy conditions of the property and the overall rudeness of the hotel manager to the point I was no longer going to make reservations with Hilton again and give up diamond status. Because of an emergency today I am staying at a Hampton in Tarpon Springs Florida and it is excellent and reminds me of how Hilton used to be in the St. Louis area. Now back to the Chesterfield Homewood suites location. Upon arrival I was given a key to a room and upon entering a couple were in bed and screamed as I walked in. I shudder to think what could have happened if the couple had a gun. The desk clerk did apologize but really didn’t see the seriousness of that situation that could have occurred. When I asked him if he had informed his manager, he said he would but I never was contacted by her. About the female manager, I understand that she was new. When I approached her to ask her if she knew about what happened, she replied she did and said didn’t we give you another room. No apology was given. Later in the week I lost my wallet and had to cancel my credit cards and American Express immediately sent my new card to the hotel. I was texted the day it arrived by American Express and I immediately went to the front desk for my card but for some reason they could never find the card. I believe the front desk hid my card on purpose where I had to recontact American Express again and have that card cancelled and another reissued and sent to my home in Florida. After I made the complaint about the wrong room key, the front desk remained extremely rude to me. One of the employees told me when I was leaving that he was pretty sure he saw my UPS envelope from American Express on the desk in the back but he did not want to be involved because the manager would fire him. There were several large trash bags that remained on my floor for several days that I took them down to the front desk and was told by the manager that the dumpster was in the back of the hotel like she thought I was going to haul them back there. I also witnessed her having a meeting in the kitchen area with her employees and quite frankly it was embarrassing how she talked to them in a open area around the guest. There is much more about this dump but I don’t feel like writing a book today. I am originally from St. Louis and will be going back again but I will not stay at a Hilton property when I do.

We stayed for 3 nights and will be needing to stay more often to visit with family,but it will not be here. Carpet throughout was nasty dirty,especially in elevator and rooms. Appliances were smeared looking,mattress was sunken down in the middle and comforter was ripped. Breakfast was decent but one staff member was really rude when we ask for napkins and other items to be refilled. Pool area was full of trash and gate was broken. For nearly $200 a night we were really disappointed. Will not go back.
